Gerard Ingram is a gifted singer-songwriter-producer who's strong message coupled with his anointed music and vocals are steadily making him one of the most sought after artists in the field.
Gerard is a native of St. Louis, Missouri, but has lived in New Orleans up until Hurricane Katrina and now resides in Houston, Texas. Gerard has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music/Business from Xavier University in New Orleans, and teaches Elementary music in Houston, Texas.
From his humble beginnings at age 7 of being self taught in piano and singing solos at churches around the city, to a trip while in college to sing on, "Showtime at the Apollo", to opening shows for artists such as Kirk Franklin and John P. Kee, to recording his original music, Gerard has experienced growth as an artist and in inspiring others through his music. Some of Gerard's credits include, “Perfected Praise” (Louisiana State Mass Choir national project), “Where the Eagle Flies” (2006 American Idol Finals Song Contest), "Let God Be the Judge" and "God Send Me A Man", (Emmbre Perry/Netflix - Tyler Perry's brother), 3 self produced albums and over 35 singles. Gerard made an appearance on, "Showtime at the Apollo" and has performed his music for tv, radio and venues such as: The House of Blues and New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. Some of his biggest musical influences are Stevie Wonder, Lalah Hathaway, Jason Nelson and Bishop Paul S. Morton.
Musical creativity and influence to Gerard are never at a lack in his message of hope as he acknowledges its’ Source: “To me, music does make life make sense." Since fully recovering from two strokes, Gerard has continued to spread the message of God's love through music. "Some of life's most difficult challenges for me were made manageable by my response, perspective and the peace of God through my faith in Him. I plant and water the world through my music, and God in His wisdom and time gives the increase!"
